Each individual event has
preliminary heats and 1 final race to determine overall placement. Swimmers must qualify during the preliminary heats to participate in the finals race. The finals races will be held after the relays. A total of 10 swimmers/event will qualify for the finals race. 2 swimmers (places 9 & 10) qualify as alternates. If a top 8 qualifier does not show for the finals race, the alternates have the chance to take their place. Results from the preliminary heats will be posted as soon as possible to ensure proper staging of the swimmers for the finals races.
Each swimmer can compete in 4 individual events and 2 relays. A and B relays only. There will be no add ons either day of the meet. All scratches for both days are due by 8am Saturday.
There will be additional restrooms and multiple food vendors on site both days.

I have coached boys and girls water polo and swimming for 10+ years at the recreation and high school level. I am excited to share my love of swimming with the team as well as my own kids who are now Tiger Sharks. Like Coach Ted Lasso says, "For me, success is not about the wins and losses. It’s about helping these young fellas (people) be the best versions of themselves on and off the field (in and out of the pool)"

Hello my name is Jaime Ellison I am the assistant coach this swim season. I was a Tigershark growing up and I was on my high school swim team for two years. I am excited to provide our swimmers with helpful swimming techniques, and how to be a part of a team. I want our swimmers to have fun but also learn that as a team we are here to support each other, have a positive attitude, and good sportsmanship. Confidence comes from what you do in practice every single day, so you've gotta show up, do the work and have fun. This is going to be a great season!
Each swimmer is required to participate in 4 meets to qualify to participate in the Championship meet at the end of season.
If a swimmer is not attending a meet, they are expected to notify the coaching staff at least one week in advance.
Swimming is a TEAM sport with individual events. Because of this, all swimmers are expected to remain at the meet for the entire duration of the meet regardless of the events that they are participating in.
Night meets usually last between 2 and 3 hours. Swimmers are required to check in approximately 1 hour prior to start of meet.
Weekend meets usually last between 5 and 6 hours. Swimmers are required to check in approximately 1-2 hours before the start of the meet.
Each swimmer will be assigned one of three practice times. These practices are usually grouped in beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Swimmers will be assigned to a practice slot that best fits their needs and ability by the coach.
Throughout any given season the coach may request that a swimmer moves to a different practice time to better suit the swimmers needs.
Each practice swimmers need to bring:
* A good, hard working attitude
* Googles
* Water
* Towel
* Swim Cap, if hair is longer
Inivatational Meets are one day meets with all teams in the league.
Championship Meet is at the end of the season.
The Championship meet is a two day meet.
Swimmers will first swim a prelim to qualify for finals in all indvidual events.
Each day of the Championship meet lasts roughly 10 hours. All swimmers are expected to attend the entirety of the meet.
The finalists will receive medals for top 3 and ribbons for 4-8. High point winners will receive trophies, as well as the top 3 teams.
